Safeguarding means protecting an individual’s health, wellbeing, and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse, and neglect. At ExtraCare we have a policy on Safeguarding Adults and Children at Risk which can be found in the reports and policies section of our website.

Abuse is a single or repeated act, or lack of appropriate action, occurring within a relationship where there is an expectation of trust, which causes harm or distress to a person.
