Trust overview

The ExtraCare Charitable Trust is a registered charity established in 1988.

ExtraCare is supported by the Executive Leadership Team and a Non Executive Board of Trustees.

Our vision is better lives for older people and our mission is creating sustainable communities that provide:

  • Homes older people want
  • Lifestyles they can enjoy, and
  • Care if it’s needed.

To deliver our vision and mission we do three things: develop new retirement villages, operate villages and schemes, and support our locations and our ‘extra-care’ model through fundraising, advocacy and research.

Our charity is supported by funding from: Residents; Local and central government; Charitable donations; 37 ExtraCare charity shops and Lloyds Bank & BAE Pensions.
