As part of our plans to develop our Board, we are seeking to appoint at least three additional Trustees to our non-executive leadership group.
The new Trustees will help guide the strategic development of the ExtraCare Charitable Trust by providing inspirational and insightful leadership as members of an enthusiastic and committed Board.
ExtraCare is both a market-leader in our provision of vibrant, supporting, villages for people in their later years and a charity underpinned by a strong ethos and values. We have ambitious plans for the future, with three additional villages at various stages of development, whilst also focusing on research and innovation enabling our residents to enjoy better lives and better physical and mental health.
This is a distinctive opportunity to join the Board of an innovative and forward thinking charity at a time of great opportunity and potential. If you believe in enabling better lives for all older people and would like to learn more about the role of Trustee, please visit Saxton Bampfylde.
Applications should be received by noon on Monday 19 November 2018, using job reference TACAHA.

Resident led community building: A personal perspective
We have been extending our range of volunteer opportunities at ExtraCare, to create a more collaborative and empowering approach to befriending. Since 2021, we have launched new resident-led “Community Teams” in our villages. Here, residents can take the lead in coordinating befriending support and community events, with the help of local staff (see details here). Doing this, our teams have helped other residents take steps to integrate more meaningfully into their community.
