Mick’s Marathon: Blog Post 5
ExtraCare’s CEO, Mick Laverty, ran the London Marathon two days ago- Sunday April 28th. Here he tells us how he got on and what he thought of the whole experience.
It’s now two days since Sunday’s London Marathon and I’m starting to slowly recover.
I managed to run the whole way (without stopping) and get round in 4 hours and 46 minutes, which was under 5 hours (my first target) but not the 4 hours and 30 minutes I was (secretly) hoping for. I was well on schedule for 4 hours and 30 minutes until about the 14 mile mark when literally everything started hurting (my ankles, knees, hips and leg muscles) and I had to slow down.
