King’s Fund Report Highlights Benefits of ExtraCare Research
ExtraCare’s unique model of homes, care and lifestyle is making a significant contribution to older people’s improved health and demonstrates a 38% reduction in an individual’s annual NHS costs. This has been validated through the Charity’s on-going research with Aston University.
A recent King’s Fund report (The economics of housing and health – Sept 2016) highlights the positive impact of the Aston research, along with analysis from other organisations that identifies the health benefits of appropriate housing.
The report will be of interest to NHS decision makers as they develop Sustainability and Transformation plans to improve health outcomes for people across local communities.
