Moments of reflection: ExtraCare honour with remembrance tributes
ExtraCare’s 20 locations across the country are honouring Remembrance Day with ceremonies to pay tribute to those who served. Residents, some of whom served in past conflicts, gathered to observe a moment of silence and share stories of sacrifice. Activities included laying wreaths, hosting remembrance afternoon teas, concerts with live singers, and small services where local veterans’ groups could participate.
Locations decorated reception areas with knitted hearts and giant poppies, with some erecting displays in their entrance areas. These events provide a meaningful way for residents to remember and reflect, ensuring the legacy of service and bravery is passed down to younger generations.
