Jazz Festival promises musical magic across Birmingham
The 40th Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival will see local, national and international musicians showcase their talent across Birmingham and the wider midlands, performing in a variety of venues across the city including libraries, museums, parks and retirement villages. Musical performances celebrating diverse culture and heritage will feature artists from all over the UK and from as far afield as Norway, the USA and Singapore.
The festival which takes place 19th July – 28th July will focus on the evolution of UK jazz from the 1960s to the present day, showcasing both established and emerging talents.
ExtraCare residents and villages will be taking part in the festival with nine acts performing across the charity’s six West Midlands village locations. Solihull Village, Bournville Gardens Village, Earlsdon Park Village, New Oscott Village, Hagley Road Village and Longbridge Village will each be hosting live music events.

The events will be free entry across ExtraCare locations and open to those looking to enjoy good music, dancing and entertainment, one of Europe’s biggest free jazz parties is sure to be a must-see event.
