This is the latest in a series of awards for the charity who have recently received a Retirement Village of the Year award, along with reaccreditations at the GSF awards, and a senior housing award for their innovation team for using technology to support healthy ageing.
Solihull Village opened in 2020 and was built on 3.9 acres on the site of former Powergen offices. The office buildings had been empty for over 20 years and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council had been seeking regeneration of the site for many years. Last year the location won an award for Inside Housing’s Best Older People’s Housing Development – urban.
