You’re safe with us
We want to reassure everyone that the wellbeing of our communities comes first, and we are continually working to make sure our villages and schemes are safe havens.
During the last couple of years we have kept our residents safe, infection rates down and ensured staff are equipped with PPE. We have protected 4,500 residents across our 20 villages and schemes by acting decisively. We quickly closed our doors to external visitors, ordered plentiful supplies of PPE and made sure our carers worked with the smallest number of clients possible to contain the virus.
Our residents and staff are resilient. Our carers have gone above and beyond their call of duty during this uncertain period, with many volunteering to help in their spare time. Our residents have been taking part in activities to keep their spirits high and have shown their robust attitude during such a disconcerting time. To them, we want to say thank you.
We would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has supported our villages and residents over the last couple of years. And say thank you to the NHS and all key workers across the UK too, as well as sending our thoughts to all communities where loved ones have been lost.
We still welcome those interested in living at an ExtraCare village or scheme. We have ensured people can view our homes in line with government guidance and have all the relevant safety measures in place.
To find out exactly what measures have been taken and how we welcome new residents into our villages and schemes (safely, and in line with current Covid-19 guidance), watch our video:
Our vision, to create better lives for older people, remains; a vision that we have continued to strive toward during the last few uncertain months and will carry on doing so now and in the future.

We look forward to welcoming you back to our villages and schemes soon, and thank you for your continued support.
