Wednesfield Charity Shop Fashion Show Raises £860
ExtraCare’s Wednesfield Charity Shop hosted a fashion show to raise money for our schemes and villages up and down the country.
The show featured 15 models wearing clothes that had been donated to the shop and raised an incredible £860 for residents of the Charity’s retirement villages and schemes up and down the country, including their five schemes based around Wolverhampton; Broadway Gardens, Brunel Court, James Beattie House, Verona Court and Bushfield Court.
The event was been organised by Deputy Manager Jon Jevon and all funds will support the care and well-being services provided by the Charity for its residents.
Jon said: “All the models were excellent, I was so proud of them and the crowd loved it. We started planning in the summer and have been able to save lots of clothes up over the past year that we could use. “
The models included shop volunteers as well as customers and people from the local community.
Entertainment was provided by local singer Emmie Simmons and belly dancer Bex Priest.
Regional Manager Patricia Neal said: “The staff and volunteers in Wednesfield have worked extremely hard throughout the year planning and preparing for the Christmas Fashion Show, they have put on a fantastic event for the Wednesfield community to enjoy.”
“Well done and thanks you to each and every person that supported the event from providing music, catering, raffle prize donations, the fantastic models and of course the lovely Wednesfield customers who support the charity the whole year through.”
