No stranger to community work, Val has also supported two parliamentary workshops at the village, further demonstrating her commitment to promoting inclusivity and equality. She is also a published author of two books on the themes of positive thinking and inclusion, a chaplain for West Midlands Police and a community champion awardee. Speaking about her volunteer efforts, she emphasises the profound value of bringing people together from diverse backgrounds.
“Volunteering brings inclusion,” Val explains, “I genuinely believe in equality, diversity, and inclusion. Witnessing people from different walks of life mingle and connect is an incredibly rewarding experience.”
As an Ambassador for Peace Val will act as an advocate promoting principles of reconciliation, cooperation, and mutual understanding in her sphere of influence.
The latest recognition for Val serves as a testament to the remarkable dedication and compassion she has exhibited throughout her years of service to the community. Her tireless efforts both within and outside of her village continue to inspire individuals within the community, setting an example of unity and kindness and proving that retirement isn’t always about slowing down.
