We have 41 homes.
Dependent on individual circumstances we can support residents with significant assessed care needs. We are able to support people living with dementia whose symptoms are conducive to living in an independent setting. Our Team Leader training incorporates a biopsychosocial understanding of dementia so that care planning can be as holistic and individualised as possible. We rely on external statutory and voluntary services to provide any additional specialist dementia and mental health support for our residents.
Residents without current care requirements are also very welcome.
Any person over the age of 55 is eligible to apply for a home at School Court. Priority is given to local people or those with a local connection.
School Court won a Silver Medal for Best Housing With Care Scheme (30-44 homes) at the 2014 Elderly Accommodation Counsel (EAC) National Housing for Older People Awards!

In 2013, School Court won Best UK Extra Care Housing scheme of any size or type at the EAC Housing for Older People Awards. Nearly 300 locations were nominated and more than 3,300 residents from around the country helped choose the award winners. The residents scored their locations on a variety of statements relating to both the quality of the property and the care (where relevant), support and general sense of well-being they enjoy there.
Dorothy Cook (resident) says: "You couldn’t get a better place to live, the staff are great, they make me laugh!”
