Constance Peploe (resident): At 91 (in 2006) Constance sky-dived 13,000 feet in a tandem parachute jump. Poor weather hampered Constance's efforts to sky-dive for five weeks but her determination won through.

Geoff Wood, Director at Hinton Sky-dive Centre, jumped with Constance at the company's airfield near Brackley. Afterwards he said: "She did a great jump and is a fantastic lady. She is one of those people in life you feel privileged to have met."

Delighted at her success, Constance said: "Because of the weather it was a long wait before I could do the jump but I enjoyed every minute, if anything it was too quick. They looked after me beautifully and I landed in the field without a scratch."

Fashion conscious Joan Spreckley feared she would never walk again when she broke her hip. But, just a few months later, the determined 97 year old was back on her feet again, helped by the team at ExtraCare's Rosewood Court retirement scheme in Wellingborough. She was able to celebrate in style when they took her on a special trip to London Fashion Weekend. Read Joan's story.

The Scheme has a close relationship with the Castle Theatre in Wellingborough, and even hosts rehearsals!
