Reeve Court Retirement Village in St Helens has raised more than £500 through a sponsored cycle ride!
One resident and two members of staff were involved in the event.
Village Activity Facilitator Josh Boardman, who was one of the cyclists, says more donations are still coming in to swell the fund which is in aid of My Share, a charity that helps fight muscle weakness disease myasthenia.
Josh, who was joined by Activity Support Worker Sue Johnson and 80 year old resident David Monks on the ride, reports they cycled round St Helens and got a rousing send-off from Reeve Court residents.
He was also full of praise for David who worked particularly hard on the project, planning the route and visiting local cycle shops to help promote the event.
