Birthday celebrations for Gloucester retirement village

2nd November, 2015

St Oswald's Village celebrated its fifth anniversary with a busy evening of first class entertainment, a buffet and a birthday cake.

The cake was cut by the first two residents who moved into the Village when it first opened, Kate Leach and Gaynor Elsdon, and the excellent buffet was provided by chef Tony Lawton and his staff.

The entertainment was provided by a band called 21Plus, which included resident Paul Cook and staff member Sam Hopkins, singer Jessie Bolas, singing duo Kim and Jake and comedian Chris Britten.

According to Manager Andrew Strong close on 150 residents, relatives, friends and staff attended the event and it was obviously a great success.

"You could tell that everyone was enjoying themselves," he said.
